The African White Iris is a clumping plant, meaning that when it grows it forms a thick center where the leaves and flower stalks grow outward from. Flowers of this grass like shrub grow in cycles once they bloom. Usually this is a two week on and two week off routine through their growing season! This plant loves organic soil that drains well, so be aware of this when accumulating multiple of these gorgeous little shrubs that the soil is not too soggy but maintains its moisture somewhat.

  • The African White Iris grows best with at least 8 hours of full sunlight. More would be best, however, it can tolerate partial shade if the minimum sunlight needs are met.
  • When this plant becomes well established it can handle mild periods of drought, but it is best to water your White Iris on a weekly basis to keep it in tip-top shape.
