Your Guide to Installing E-Z Products with Confidence

E-Z Spike Installation

• Secure the E-Z Spike 29 inches deep.
• Drive spike base into the ground using a short block. (Be sure to use a block smaller than the actual posts.)
• For best results, turn the block every few strikes. Take care to install spike base plumb.
• Attach post to spike base using four ¼” x 1 ½” Strong-Drive SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws or four #10 x 1 ½” Strong-Drive SD Connector screws.

E-Z Mender Installation

For Dirt:

• Drive the E-Z Mender 11 inches down.
• Remove dirt and debris from around the existing post.
• 
  Drive mender plate down along the post between the post and the dirt.
• Repeat on opposite side of the post.
• Attach to post using six #9 x 1 ½” or six #10 x 1 ½” Strong-Drive SD Connector screw.
• Fill the hole around the post with concrete.

E-Z Mender Installation

For Concrete:

• Drive the E-Z Mender 11 inches down.
• Remove dirt and debris from around the existing post.
• Drive mender plate down along the post, wedging it between the post and the concrete. Repeat on the opposite side of the post.
• Attach to post using six #9 x 1 ½” or six #10 x 1 ½” Strong-Drive SD Connector screw.

E-Z Base Installation

• Attach base to concrete using four ½”-diameter anchors (screws and anchors not supplied).
• Fasten post in base using eight #9 x 1 ½” or eight 10 x 1 ½” Strong-Drive SD Connector screws.
