Shop Fox Quick Release Vise
This quick release vise has been specially designed to provide many years of trouble free service. Close attention to detail, ruggedly built parts and a rigid quality control program assure safe and reliable operation.
This heavy cast-iron wood vise with polished guide rods features a quick release lever that disengages the screw for fast and efficient material engagement. It also features sliding dogs for securing long workpieces to the bench, which conveniently retract out of the way when not in use.
This quick release vise is designed to fit on workbenches 2-1/4 inch and thicker, but can be adapted to workbenches down to 1-1/2 inch thick by using a shim.
The jaws are pre-drilled to allow one to make and attach custom non-marring jaw faces to protect workpiece surfaces.
Cast iron construction offers durability and years of dependable use.
Using the quick release lever allows for fast and efficient operation. Moving the quick release lever towards the vise handle disengages the leadscrew so the sliding jaw can be freely moved by pushing or pulling it.
This vise includes sliding stop dogs for use with bench dogs. A handy feature when working with stock that is too long for the vise to accommodate. When the stop dogs are not in use, simply loosen the finger bolt and the dogs disappear out of the way.
