The Shop Fox W1712 has been specially designed to provide many years of trouble free service. Close attention to detail, ruggedly built parts and a rigid quality control program ensure safe and reliable operation.
This Heavy-Duty Combination Sander uses a 6-by-48-inch belt, a 12-inch disc, and a 1-1/2 HP motor to tackle your tougher sanding operations. Unlike many belt-driven sanders that require adjustments, the Shop Fox W1712 uses a direct ball bearing supported drive shaft from the motor to the sanding disc and belt to deliver a maintenance and vibration free positive torque flow. For increased sanding versatility and control, both cast iron tables accept the miter gauge.
The W1712 features two ground cast iron tables. Both the belt sander and disc sander tables tilt 0-degrees left and 45-degrees right for precise sanding operations. The sanding belt can be placed vertically or horizontally for various sanding applications. Miter sanding can be done easily with the included deluxe miter gauge. The miter gauge features a scale for accurate positioning of your workpiece and can be used on the both the disc and belt sanding table.
The W1712 sanding belt is large enough to handle the most demanding sanding operation. The built in dust port on the belt sander reduces dust build up in your shop and aids in dust management. The 12-3/8 by 7-inch cast iron table offers ample work support and tilts up to 45-degrees.
