Patented sealing system
Fill the capsule with your favorite ground espresso. Place a single-use foil lid on top. One press of the Pod Sealer crimps the foil mechanically around the rim — airtight, clean, no glue. Drop it in your Nespresso Original Line machine and brew like any factory pod. That's the whole system, made in Holland since 2016.
Nespresso Original Line pods cost around $0.90 each. At 2 cups a day, that's about $657 a year. With Bluecup, you only pay for ground coffee and a single-use foil lid — roughly $0.20 per cup. Same 2 cups a day comes to about $146 a year. Your savings: around $510 a year, just by switching the capsule system. Use your favorite supermarket blend or a specialty roast — the choice is yours.
Will Bluecup work with my Nespresso machine?
Bluecup works with all Nespresso Original Line machines: Essenza, Pixie, Citiz, Inissia, Lattissima, Expert, Creatista and most others. NOT compatible with Vertuo. If your capsules are round and dome-shaped, that's Vertuo.
What grind should I use?
Medium-fine, slightly coarser than traditional espresso. Most supermarket espresso blends work straight out of the bag. Avoid ultra-fine Turkish or Espresso-style ground coffee. Get it right once, every cup is easy.
Are the capsules safe and dishwasher-friendly?
Yes. The capsules are made from food-safe, BPA-free heat-resistant material: gentler on your machine than stainless steel pods, and fully dishwasher-safe. Built for years of daily use.
How long do the capsules last?
Years of daily use. The capsules are designed to last. The only thing you'll ever reorder are the foil lids, since that's the only consumable in the system. One Bluecup replaces 300+ pods a year.
