Red Lion's Engine Driven Pump Selection:
Red Lion offers a selection of gas engine driven pumps. Below is a run down of the differences to help make your choice easier.
AGRICULTURAL CHEMICAL PUMPS:
Designed to handle agricultural chemicalssuch as fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides.
- The 6RLPG-2U is a lightweight THERMOPLASTIC pump which delivers 195 GPM. It has 2-inch FNPT suction and discharge ports. It is equipped with a polyester impeller and a carbon ceramic/ EPDM elastomer seal.
- The 5RLGF-8KRF is a heavy-duty CAST IRON pump delivering 170 GPM and has 2-inch FNPT suction and discharge ports. It comes with a cast iron impeller and a carbon ceramic/EPDM elastomer seal and can handle up to 5/8-in. solids.
WATER TRANSFER PUMPS:
All of the Red Lion pumps can transfer or remove water but the 2RLAG-1L aluminum pump falls under this category.
- The lightest and most portable of our engine driven pumps, it delivers 60 GPM, has a max. head of 79-ft., and is equipped with 1.5-inch MNPT suction and discharge ports, two two 1-inch MNPT adapters and a convenient built-in carry handle. The 2RLAG-1L comes with a cast iron semi-open style impeller and the seal is carbon ceramic/BUNA.
Tip: Invest in a strainer to prevent damage to the pump.
SEMI-TRASH and TRASH PUMPS:
What's the difference between semi-trash and trash pumps? The answer is seal type, solids handling and cleanability.
- The Red Lion 6RLAG-2LST is a SEMI-TRASH pump and can handle up to 1/2-inch solids. This pump comes equipped with wear-resistant silicon carbide and EPDM mechanical seals and has a cast iron semi-open style impellers.
- The 6RLAG-3LTT is a TRASH pump. It can handle up to 1-1/4-inch solids and comes equipped with a silicon carbide and BUNA mechanical seal and a cast iron semi-open style impeller. The casing is designed to be removed easily for cleaning.
