The Purrfect Fence Existing Fence Conversion System's revolutionary spring-loaded cat-proof arm extensions make it easy and affordable to convert wood, chain link, metal, vinyl/pvc, brick or block fence or wall into a cat-proof barrier. Please note, only wood screws are included with this kit as a fastener.
The pivoting fence extensions are attached near the top of the inside of your fence and the high strength mesh material is stretched between them attaching with the included zip ties. Simply secure the lower portion of the mesh material to your fence or wall and your cat fence barrier is complete.
The system will adjust to fit just about every gate and corner situation making it very versatile. Included with each 50' kit are (6) Spring-loaded arms (6) Arm Mounting Plates w/ arm setscrew, 50' of 4' high heavy duty black poly fence (1.7" x 1.7" grid) and (100) UV rated zip ties.
Keep in mind that every fence is different and there are no universally followed guidelines for post spacing, height, materials used, etc. A 50 ft kit is designed for an average 50 linear feet of fence. If you have gates, turns, short or long spans between posts then you may find that you need more or fewer components than comes with the kit.
Quality Components Build to Last - All arm extensions and brackets are galvanized steel with a black powder coat finish. The hardware and springs are stainless steel. The 600lb break strength fence material is UV stabilized with carbon black and additional chemical UV inhibitors. Our systems are enjoyed by our customers for years while many actually take their systems with them and reinstall when they move. An investment you can depend on no matter where life takes you and your cat(s)!
Recommended Fastener: Masonry screws paired with washers
Recommended Size: 1/4" x 2" for masonry screws and outer diameter of washer should be greater than 5/8"
Recommended Fastener: U-Bolts which are dependent on the size of your fence posts OR self tapping screws that can drill into a metal post.
Recommended Fastener: depends if the fence has a post backing (material inside post). If viynl fence is hollow, customer will need to insert wooden backing material and use wood screws.

Each existing fence is unique! The maximum span between arms is 12-14 feet. 8-10 Feet is preferred. Count and measure the distance between your posts/mounting points to ensure that a kit will cover your fence.
Gates need to be considered separately for your layout plan. Each gate in your existing fence is likely to need additional components depending on the location and operation.

Due to the wide variety of fencing materials and configurations we do not provide fasteners for fences other than wooden fences as part of our kits.
