PROLINE Island Range Hood
PROLINE Profesional Stainless Steel Island Range Hoods
What does CFM mean?
A range hood's power is measured in CFMs or Cubic Feet per Minute. The larger the number, the more air the hood will remove.
What size range hood do I need?
For indoor use the hood should be at least the same size as your cooktop (ex. A 30” hood for a 30” cooktop). For optimal ventilation we recommend one size larger than your cooktop (ex. A 36” hood for a 30” cooktop)
How much CFM do I need?
Electric Range: Calculate 100 CFM per every 10 inches width (ex. 36 inches wide = 360 CFM). Gas Range: Divide the total BTUs by 100 (ex. if your range has a total output of 30,000 BTUs, it will require a 300 CFM or higher rated hood).
Is it better to have more CFM?
More CFM is better than less to ensure all contaminants are vented and the hood lasts longer if it’s not operating at max CFM frequently. Proline hoods start at 600 CFM for this reason.
How high should my range hood be mounted?
We recommend allowing 28”-36” between the bottom of the hood and the top of your cooking surface. The optimal range for venting efficiency and product longevity.
What type of ducting is best for proper ventilation?
Use smooth metal ducting, avoid flexible, ribbed, 4 inches dryer duct or any plastic ducting. Refer to the dimensions section for the size of ducting your hood requires. Do not reduce the ductwork size to less than what is specified.
How often should I clean my range hood filters?
Proline mesh and baffle filters are dishwasher safe. Clean approximately every 14-30 days depending on use.
What is the best way to clean my range hood?
Use warm water and mild soap in the direction of the polish lines regularly to clean the outside of your range hood. Rinse well with clear clean water and wipe dry immediately. Avoid harsh or abrasive cleaning agents on your hood.
Does my Proline Range Hood come with a seller protection?
All of our hoods come with a 3-year limited seller protection. The first year we cover both parts and labor, while the second and third year we cover replacement parts only.
