How is RadonSeal different from coatings or sealers?
Unlike traditional coatings that sit on the surface and can peel or trap moisture, RadonSeal absrobs deep into the concrete and works below the surface. It does not form a film, allowing the concrete to remain breathable.
Can I apply paint, epoxy, or coatings over RadonSeal?
Yes. When applied to a bare, porous surface, it absorbs into the concrete rather than forming a surface layer, allowing proper adhesion of paints, epoxy, levelers, and coatings.
What is the coverage rate?
• Poured Concrete: 175–225 sq. ft. per gallon
• Concrete Block: 100–125 sq. ft. per gallon
As a general guideline, a 1,000 sq. ft. poured concrete surface requires approximately 5 gallons. A 2.5-gallon container will cover about 500 sq. ft.
Will RadonSeal stop water leaks through cracks?
RadonSeal is not designed to stop active leaks through cracks, joints, or seams. These areas should be repaired using appropriate products such as CrackWeld Floor Crack Repair Kit or RadonSeal DIY Foundation Crack Repair Kit.
Can RadonSeal be applied to painted or sealed surfaces?
No. RadonSeal must be absorbed through the surface to be effective. It should only be applied to clean, bare, and porous concrete.
