Mr. Felton Jones, III joined the PJ's Coffee production team in 1993 under the direction of Phyllis Jordan, PJ's Coffee's founder. From 1996-99, Mr. Jones moved to a position with Coffee House Inc. where he became General Manager of Coffee Operations and began his journey towards gaining Roastmaster status. In 1999, Mr. Jones returned to PJ's Coffee at the request of Phyllis Jordan to assume the position of VP of Wholesale Operations and Quality Control Manager. In 2003, Mr. Jones achieved his status as Roastmaster, and Coffee Buyer for PJ's Coffee.
Mr. Jones is certified by the Specialty Coffee Association of America in green coffee purchasing and contracts, and now serves as Chief Roastmaster and Brand Ambassador for New Orleans Roast, LLC.
PJ's Coffee of New Orleans was founded in 1978 by Phyllis Jordan, a pioneer in the coffee industry that demonstrated better beans, unique roasting techniques, and pure passion for the art of coffee-making mattered. PJ's Coffee serves a wide variety of hot, iced and frozen coffee beverages, as well as organic tea and fresh breakfast pastries.
PJ's famous iced coffees are brewed daily using a special cold-drip process that protects the flavor and strength of the beans, while producing a coffee that is 2/3 less acidic - a process pioneered by our founder. Bags of whole bean coffee and single serve cups of PJ's Coffee.
PJ’s Coffee utilizes only the top 1% of Arabica beans, sourcing 14 origin coffees from Sumatra to Ethiopia, Colombia to Papua New Guinea. This gourmet coffee is small batch roasted in 300lbs or less by Roastmaster Felton Jones, who alone has over 22 years of experience with PJ’s Coffee.

Southern Pecan is a medium roast that grabs attention from the first sip with a smooth and sweet flavor. This medium-bodied coffee gets your day started - or invigorates your afternoon - with a balanced, medium body and rich, buttery pecan notes.
To do this, we source our coffees from 14 origins, selecting the top 1% of Arabica Beans, picked right at the point of freshness. Under the direction of our Roastmaster, all coffee is slow roasted in our Roasting Facility in the heart of the city. This process creates a specialty gourmet coffee that's as complex and as bold as the city we call home.
For our flavored coffees like Southern Pecan, we coat medium-roast beans right after the roasting process with the distinctive and aromatic flavors we develop. Brew up a pot, and experience true Crescent City flavor.
French Roast is a Dark Roast Coffee - full taste, never bitter. Our French Roast is an intense, bold coffee with pronounced smoky overtones.
