To ensure defense against squirrels, this feeder features a Sure-Lock cap and a weight-activated Seed Shield. The Squirrel-Be-Gone Max is also a favorite of birds. It boasts four feeding stations with our patented Flexports, which offer 5-in-1 benefits for birds and you.
The feeder's weight-activated Seed Shield is calibrated to close off the ports under squirrels' weight. Birds can sit on every perch without activating it.
Hang the feeder with at least 18 inches of clearance on all sides so squirrels can’t easily reach the ports without activating the Seed Shield.
The Sure-Lock cap secures the lid in place to prevent squirrels from lifting it, while the metal frame discourages chewing around the ports.
Flexports offer 5-in-1 benefits for birds and you. They're 4x more shake-resistant than our standard ports, so there’s less seed waste! They also allow birds to feed in an optimal position outside the port, offering improved visibility so they feel safer, and you’ll get more birdwatching time!
