Coconut Country Living's (CCL) uses only raw cinnamon bark that has undergone a strict process for quality. The inner bark of the cinnamon tree is peeled and dried, curling up compactly into the classic delicate scroll shape characteristic of genuine cinnamon sticks. At this point, it is ground to a fine powder and packaged in a resealable light-tight mylar foil pouch.
Each standard teaspoon of cinnamon provides 6 calories. That's 10 fewer calories than sugar, and 13 fewer calories than high fructose corn syrup!
This cinnamon powder is derived from authentic cinnamon trees from the island nation of Sri Lanka. Formerly known as Ceylon, this island is the home of the unique and flavorful Ceylon cinnamon.
