MEASURE THE LENGTH OF YOUR GUIDE BAR
Determine your chainsaw’s bar length by measuring from the front of the chainsaw to the tip of the guide bar.
COUNT YOUR DRIVE LINKS
Now count each drive link to determine the total number of drive links on your saw chain.
DETERMINE YOUR GAUGE
By gauge, we mean the thickness of your drive links. You can find your gauge by measuring the section of a drive link inside the groove of the guide bar.
DETERMINE YOUR PITCH
In order to determine your pitch, you’ll need to measure the distance between three consecutive rivets and divide that number by two.
