Olympic SmartGuard multi-surface waterproofer is a concentrated clear sealer formulated for easy application and fast dry. Olympic SmartGuard Waterproofing Sealer penetrates the substrate to provide advanced durability and protection. It can be applied after rain or cleaning and dries in 1 hour. It is formulated to be extremely fast and easy to apply, especially from a pump sprayer, but applies easily with brush or roller as well.
Simply add 2 gallons of water into your sprayer. Pour in entire pouch of Olympic SmartGuard wood and composite deck sealant, pump and spray. Apply liberally.
When it comes to sealing your deck, Olympic SmartGuard can save you time. It can be applied to damp wood, even after cleaning or rain. Dries in 1 hour, so your surface is back in use 1 hour after application
SmartGuard is a completely different sealant technology that penetrates wood to protect it from water damage at the surface and below. SmartGuard is highly water-repellent, but allows wood to breathe. Less water trapped in the wood means less water damage.
Use Olympic Premium Deck Brightener and Wash to clean your deck, removing mold and mildew stains. This will also help restore weathered wood. Be sure to scrub your deck thoroughly to ensure the cleanest possible surface.
While you can apply SmartGuard in a traditional way, the formula is particularly convenient when used with a pump sprayer. Mix it into your sprayer with 2 gallons of water.
Spray the mix onto your deck! Apply as much as you see fit, as you want to guarantee you're covering every inch of your deck. You can also use a brush to brush SmartGuard on to harder to reach surfaces, like a railing.
Let the surface dry for 1 hour and your newly-stained deck is complete!
