What size router insert plates does this template support?
It is designed for nominal 9-1/4" × 11-3/4" router insert plates. Check the plate dimensions, corner radius, and required recess depth before cutting the tabletop.
What tools are required to use this template kit?
A handheld router and drill are required. The kit includes the templates, threaded inserts, router bit, and Allen keys. Additional cutting tools may be required depending on the tabletop thickness and installation method.
Can I reuse this template for future builds?
The MDF templates may be reused if they remain flat, undamaged, and able to attach securely to the tabletop.
Can I choose where to position the insert plate?
Yes. Choose the desired router spindle location, mark two intersecting reference lines, and align the template centerlines with those marks before routing.
What should I check before using the included router bit?
Before each use, tighten the set screw on the black collar with the included 2mm Allen key. Secure the templates, follow the specified routing direction, and limit each pass to 1/4" or less. Stop if any part is loose or damaged.
