Do I need a cable or satellite subscription to use the ADTH NextGen TV Box?
No subscription needed. The ADTH NextGen TV Box uses your antenna to receive free over-the-air channels. A rooftop antenna is best. Internet is optional but enables encrypted ATSC 3.0 premium channels where available.
What antenna do I need?
Any UHF/VHF antenna works with the ADTH NextGen TV Box. Rooftop directional antennas give best ATSC 3.0 (4K HDR) reception, while indoor amplified antennas may work near towers. Supports both ATSC 1.0 and 3.0 tuners.
I’m not receiving any ATSC 3.0 channels – what should I do?
ATSC 3.0 availability varies by market. Check local coverage, if available: connect antenna, run a channel scan, and use a rooftop antenna for best signal. Ensure no obstructions and verify availability on the NextGen TV website.
How does the DVR work? What storage do I need?
Gen 2 adds DVR features: record live TV, schedule recordings, and pause playback. Requires SD card or USB storage (not included). Use Class 10/UHS-I or USB 3.0. A 64GB card stores about 8–12 hours of 4K HDR content.
