The recommendation is to lean forward over the sink because you are flushing your sinuses and the slime and other particles will flow from your sinuses through your nose.
How do you sanitize this after use?
The salt solution has a sanitizing effect itself. So, I just rinse with water. However If you are worried, wash with soapy water, rinse and air dry.
