How it Works. Top Mole Repellent for Lawns. Best Way to Get Rid of Moles.
Castor Oil creates an unpleasant environment pests avoid. It works by making the food source and environment of burrowing animals smell and taste unpleasant. The formula will bind to their natural food source, insects, making it unappealing for them to consume and digest. This causes the animals to leave the treated area in search of a more suitable habitat. By being persistent and routinely spraying it will drive moles and voles out and train them to stay away.
Nature's MACE mole and vole repellents provide immediate, powerful, and long-lasting protection. They slowly seep into the soil and work to disturb the places mole and voles frequent. Our ingredients are effective, and trusted by farmers, landscapers, gardeners, and more! They work to repel, and even train moles, voles, gophers, and armadillos to stay away! How to Use Mole and Vole MACE?
Combine 1/2 cup of castor oil with 1/2 cup of dish soap. Mix 4-6 tablespoons of the mixture with 1 gallon of water. You can also add 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper or garlic powder. Pour mixture into yard sprayer. Shake well before each use. Locate molehills and runways to determine which direction to push the moles out of your area. Next, protect the areas that are not yet invaded by moles. Day 1: Spray liquid over the area not yet or slightly invaded by moles. Day 2: Spray liquid over the area already invaded by moles and toward the boundary of where you want the moles to exit. Day 12: Reapply the liquid mixture over the entire affected area. For each application, fully saturate areas, and lightly soak in with water for 10 minutes. Depending on the severity of your issue, make the mixture stronger and re-apply as needed.
The product should be applied in early spring, summer, and fall when activity tends to be highest. We recommend applying at the beginning of each season to deter moles/voles before tunneling begins. Reapply every 2–3 months for maintenance or when new dirt mounds are found. Reapply after periods of heavy rainfall. If you do not see reduced activity within one week, be more persistent with applications and wait an additional week.
