The True Metrix self-monitoring blood glucose system is intended for the quantitative measurement of glucose (sugar) in fresh blood samples drawn from the fingertip or forearm. Featuring triple sense technology, the system automatically detects, analyzes and corrects for environmental and physiological variability that includes hematocrit and temperature.

The strips work only with the McKesson True Metrix self-monitoring system as well as with #06-R5051-1, #06-R5051-2 and #06-R5051-3 McKesson True Metrix controls.
True Metrix test strips are simple to use and come in a conveniently portable container with a snap-on lid, making them simple to retrieve as needed for testing throughout the day and uncompromised for accuracy. The strips only require a small sample, as little as half a microliter, to get accurate results. Blood can be drawn from the fingertip or forearm for user comfort and convenience. There's no coding required for testing and the process takes only seconds to complete.
Triple Sense technology makes the test strips and the True Metrix system accurate and reliable. Equipped with event tagging capability, Triple Sense analyzes and considers factors in the environment as well as physiological factors when testing and automatically adjusts. These factors include variations in the temperature and moisture or humidity levels that might otherwise impact the accuracy of the strips. True Metrix detects these and compensates accordingly to keep results accurate. Once opened, the test strips have a shelf life of 4 months.
