Q: Can the MXR3500 be used in areas of high altitude？Will it affect its power output generation？
A: The MXR3500 generator is suitable for use in areas up to 5,000ft altitude. Altitudes beyond 5000ft will affect the MXR3500's performance in terms of stability, startability and power output. Installing a high altitude kit can remedy the above issues, but cannot make sure that the power rating of the MXR3500 is as advertised.
Q: What type oil does it use?
A: In terms of oil selection, we recommend using Straight SAE 10W-40 for hot weather, 10/30 motor oil for all, and 5/30 for extremely cold.
Q: What do I do if the generator fails to start?
A: If the generator fails to start, it is important to check that the correct gasoline and oil is used. It is recommended to add at least 450ml of SAE-10W30 engine oil to ensure efficient operation.
Q: Overload light comes on as soon as I pull the cord to dart it and then just dies. A: Please make sure that the 3-in-1 switch is in the “Run"position.If the switch is not screwed back to the run position, the overload light will come on and the generator will stall.
Q:Why does the generator arrive with some oil residue?
A:The generator is tested before leaving the factory, so there may be some oil residue, this is normal and doesn't affect the use. Please wipe it clean and let it sit for a while for normal use.
Q:Will the generator work in the rain/snow
A:Never use the generator in a location that is wet or damp. Never expose the generator to rain, snow, water spray, or standing water while in use. Moisture or ice can cause a short circuit which may cause the generator to malfunction.
Warning: A generator's exhaust contains toxic carbon monoxide, which you cannot see or smell.To avid carbon monoxide poisoning, follow the manufacturer's instructions when operating a generator.
