Enhance Your Soil or Compost

NaturesGoodGuys Red “Wiggler” Worms (Elsenia fetida) may not be predators, but they are essential for building healthy, nutrient-rich soil. These industrious worms consume half their weight in organic material daily, enriching and aerating the soil. Their tunneling improves soil structure, while their nutrient-rich castings support beneficial microbes that enhance fertility.

  • Target Soil: Aerates and enriches the soil with nutrients and minerals including up to 5 times the available nitrogen, 7 times the available phosphorus, 3 times the changeable magnesium, & more.
  • Introduction Sites: Gardens, lawns, trees, shrubs, potted plants, compost piles & more.
  • Introduction Rates: 2-3 worms per sq. ft.
  • Introduction Method:

  1. DIRECT GARDEN RELEASE: Introduce in the morning or evening after watering. Dig holes 4-5 inches deep and 12 inches apart. Place a few worms in each hole and loosely cover.
  2. VERMICOMPOSTING WITH WORM BINS: Scatter worms across a ventilated bin with shredded paper, cardboard, or leaves as bedding. Add food scraps.

  • Shipping: Reusable pail or cotton bag.
  • Storage: 50°F+ for no longer than 30 days. Do not let worms dry out.
