Easy to Apply With Excellent Hide
KILZ Masonry, Stucco and Brick Paint is an easy to apply, acrylic/latex paint with excellent hide. Ideal for interior and exterior projects, this product is self-priming on surface in good condition.
Covers 250-400 square feet per gallon depending on surface texture and application method.
Repels Water & Resists Mildew
Our Masonry, Stucco and Brick Paint features a mildew-resistant finish, and repels water. It also provides excellent adhesion on properly prepared, smooth or textured masonry, stucco, drywall and brick.
Apply with a high-quality polyester blend brush, 3/8"-3/4" nap roller or airless sprayer—use a .015"- .019" tip and 60 mesh filter.
Natural Looking & Water Based
This water-based formula will accentuate all textured surfaces while maintaining a natural look. It is alkali-resistant up to pH 12.0 and cleans up with soap and water.
Not intended for floors. Can be brushed, sprayed or rolled on.
Preparation, Application & Clean-Up
PREP
Allow new stucco and masonry to cure for 30 days before painting. Remove all loose, peeling paint. Power wash to remove chalk. Remove dirt, grease and mildew stains with a Concrete & Masonry Cleaner & Degreaser.Cracks and gaps wider than 1/16" should be routed open, dusted and patched with a quality patching compound. Use an acrylic caulk around windows, doors and trim. Scuff sand glossy surfaces. If chalk remains on the surface, prime with a KILZ Premium Primer.
APPLICATION
DO NOT DILUTE. Intermix all cans of same product to ensure color uniformity. Stir paint before and occasionally during application. For best results, apply when air and surface temperatures are between 50 - 90°F. Do not use if rain or heavy dew is expected within 24 hours. Maintain a wet edge to avoid lap marks. Do not re-spread or re-work paint. Apply a second coat, if necessary.
APPLICATION TOOLS
Apply using a high quality 3/4"-1" nap roller (rough surfaces) or 3/8"-1/2" nap roller (smooth surfaces), nylon/polyester brush or airless sprayer (.015"-.021" spray tip, 60 mesh filter).
COVERAGE
Rough surfaces: 250-300 sq. ft; Smooth surface 400 sq. ft.
DRY TIME
Dries to touch in 2-3 hours; 4 hours to recoat. Longer dry time required in cooler temperatures and higher humidity. After two weeks, cured paint film may be cleaned with a mild, non-abrasive liquid detergent.
CLEAN-UP & DISPOSAL
Clean equipment and paint spatters with warm, soapy water. If spilled, contain material and remove with an inert absorbent. Dispose of contaminated absorbent, container and unused product in accordance with all current governmental regulations.
CAUTIONS / LIMITATIONS
Protect from freezing. Do not use on floors. For best results, apply at temperatures between 40°F - 90°F. Temperatures above 90°F may affect the application such as drying too fast. Avoid painting in direct sun. NOTE: If the surface is hot to the touch it should be considered too hot to apply this coating. Avoid heavy traffic for 24 hours. Allow two weeks before washing or cleaning for full cure. Shelf life under normal conditions is two years unopened.
