Johnson's machine-mountable laser detector is ideal for using red beam rotary lasers outdoors at great distances, when the human eye cannot see the laser beam, by quickly and accurately locating the laser signals. The detector features a large 360° detecting range, and with a bright LED display for easy reading, the detector displays the information you need to get your leveling job done quickly and easily. This detector comes with everything you need to get your jobsite up and running - including clamps and powerful magnets for attaching the detector to machines, an NiMH rechargeable battery pack, cable, charger, and hard-shell carrying case.

When operating lasers outdoors on large jobsites, you typically can't see the beam. Laser detectors become a mandatory accessory to detect beam height and ensure the accuracy of your work.
Detectors must be chosen based on the color of the laser, the type of laser (line vs. rotary), and the style of detector required. Styles include single sided LED, single and dual style LCD, and machine mountable. All of the detectors shown here are for red beam rotary lasers (635/650nm).
Most Johnson Level detectors feature variable audible tones to tell you if you're too high, too low, or on grade. All detectors have a visual indicator to show you high/low/on grade, but the type of indicator varies by model.
