A nutritionally balanced and bioavailable zinc supplement providing the popular nutrient trio zinc picolinate, magnesium citrate and vitamin B6
Nutritionally balanced and expertly formulated
This nutritionally balanced supplement has been expertly formulated by Igennus nutrition scientists to deliver just the right daily doses of nutrients, in their most bioavailable forms, into the bloodstream. We are careful to observe tolerable upper limits – a measure of the level at which there may be side effects. Each of the nutrients is provided at clinically effective levels but lower than upper limits. An adult serving provides 24mg zinc picolinate, 120mg elemental magnesium citrate (from 752mg bulk magnesium) and 20mg vitamin B6. Split dosing provides all-day nutrient coverage for both adults and children (dose accordingly). Each bottle contains 120 tablets, with dosing recommended between 1-4 tablets daily, age-dependent.*

High-absorption chelated zinc picolinate
Neurobalance contains the highly-absorbable chelated mineral form, zinc picolinate (bound to picolinic acid), which is especially bioavailable. The absorption of zinc in the body is a complex process that involves passing through the intestines, into the bloodstream, and up into individual cells. In bioavailability studies comparing zinc citrate, gluconate and picolinate, absorption is enhanced when zinc is complexed with picolinic acid. Zinc picolinate also retains levels in the body for longer, and is known for its neuroprotective, skin- and immune-supportive health properties.*
Fully reacted, high absorption magnesium citrate
Neurobalance contains bioavailable magnesium citrate that is fully reacted and not buffered. Being fully reacted means magnesium is chemically bound to its carrier, so it’s effectively fast-tracked through the digestive system and delivers higher levels to the body. Beware supplements that are buffered or blended as these are ‘topped up’ with magnesium oxide, which is only 4% bioavailable and may have laxative effects.*
Vitamin B6 as pyridoxal-5-phosphate
Vitamin B6 exists in 6 forms but only the pyridoxal-5-phosphate form has enzyme cofactor activity. B6 metabolism is delicate and the conversion of dietary vitamin B6 to pyridoxal-5-phosphate (P5P), the form required for producing certain neurotransmitters and neuroprotective chemicals, is often compromised. P5P is particularly effective in supporting the nervous system, acting as a cofactor in the biosynthesis of serotonin, dopamine, adrenaline and gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA).*
Nutrition support for the whole family*
This popular nutrient trio is essential to hundreds of biological processes within the body, from brain and psychological function, to immune, hormonal and reproductive function, to growth and development, and skin health. Expertly formulated by nutrition scientists using bioavailable forms to provide only the necessary doses and no more, this effective combination is suitable for the whole family.*
Zinc for immune, skin and cellular health*
Zinc is an essential mineral required by the body for growth and development, wound healing and immune function, as well as over 300 enzyme reactions important for gene expression, cellular communication and division. Zinc is also required for neurotransmitter synthesis and so is vital for memory, learning and mood. It also plays an active role in optimizing immune health and is essential for healthy skin and hormones.*
Magnesium for energy and bone health*
Magnesium is a vital mineral involved in over 300 enzyme reactions in the body, fulfilling a wide range of physiological functions - including energy production, central nervous system function and hydration. In addition, magnesium plays a direct role in maintaining healthy bone density and supporting a healthy immune system.*
Vitamin B6 supports glutathione production and hormone health*
Vitamin B6 is involved in over 100 cellular reactions throughout the body. The pyridoxine form, specifically, is required to metabolize amino acids and glycogen, as well as for normal nervous system, hormone and red blood cell function. Vitamin B6 is also required for production of cysteine, which is the precursor to the antioxidant glutathione.*
