The Rhino Series is a line of premium quality proven Tuffcare patient lifts and slings. Patient lifts are available in either floor or stand-up lifts, hydraulic or electric-powered along with a manual or electric-powered base. The standard and bariatric lifts have a maximum weight limit ranging up to 1000 lbs.
The Tuffcare Rhino Electric Patient Lift safely elevates patients in both home care and hospital environments. Rhino lift is designed to help reduce the possibility of a caregiver injury and to ensure the resident’s well-being while being transported. Built with heavy gauge carbon steel construction with a powder-coated frame. The state-of-the-art electronic system includes an emergency lowering knob and a high-capacity battery. Accommodates all types of slings; a robust weight limit of 450 lb.
Tuffcare's Rhino lift has a broader lifting range than other generic brands. With its height of 78.5", being unable to lift patients off a high bed or chair will never be an issue. The Rhino lift is also capable of going down as low as 14", making it perfect for lifting patients off the ground.
The stylish ergonomic textured push handles provide a comfortable, yet firm gripping surface. The handle reduces the force the caregiver needs to exert to move the unit while it is bearing the patient’s weight.
Stability starts at the base. Dual 3" front casters provide a low-profile base for the lift to get into even low-clearance spaces. Dual casters double the traction width to prevent any kind of tipping.
Larger 5" rear casters are easy to roll and provide better maneuvering. The On/Off brakes are designed to be controlled with one’s feet, ensuring that even the elderly can easily lock the brakes during operation to minimize movement.
In the case of electronic failures pull down on the emergency knob, turning it clockwise will cause the actuator shaft to retract. Similarly, turning it counterclockwise will cause the actuator shaft to extend. Realign ridges and push up on the knob to lock it back into place after use.
Long-lasting heavy duty battery pack ensures prolonged use of the unit goes smoothly and uninterrupted. If Tuffcare’s superior power options still aren’t enough, a wall charger and extra battery pack are available for purchase to allow for quick swaps to minimize downtime on mission critical units.
The control unit features a built-in charger which makes charging it a breeze; no disassembly or wall charger is needed. Tuffcare’s easy-to-use ergonomic remote comes attached and is equipped with a power-on LED indicator to make the operation of the unit as clear and simple as possible.
Some medical conditions such as stroke, orthopedic conditions, amputations, or certain wounds may affect sling choice.
Our slings come in varied sizes and have different limitations on the amount of weight that they can support. Although most slings are offered in multiple sizes, which typically support more weight as the size increases, some sizing options are more limited than others.
To increase patient safety, use the correct type and size of sling for your patient. Caregivers using lifts for activities like lifting from the floor, bed-chair transfer, lateral transfer, lifting limbs, diaper changing, and repositioning will help caregivers avoid back injury.
Machine washable at temperatures under 180°F/82°C. Polyester fabric in high heat will destroy fabric content.
Do not ever use chlorine to wash slings. Chlorine will weaken the fabric of the sling shortening its lifespan.
Wash with a low temperature setting. If done incorrectly, the fabric will shirk causing the sling to wrinkle and become unusable.
Do not dry clean slings. Chemicals will deteriorate the stitching causing the fabric and the strap to separate.
