DynaTrap 26W UV Replacement Light Bulb

Keep your DynaTrap Outdoor Mosquito & Insect Trap operating at peak capacity with the DynaTrap 43050 26-Watt UV Replacement Bulb. Compatible with DynaTrap models DT1750 and DT1775, this replacement mosquito UV light bulb attracts flying insects with warm ultraviolet light. This bulb is a key component of the 3-way protection system that allows the trap to effectively lure and trap insects. For best results, replace the bulb in your insect trap after 3,000 hours, or approximately four months, of use.

Using light as lure

Using Light as Lure

Flying insects are naturally drawn to light - so stock up on the replacement bulbs to keep the bugs coming to your trap and away from you! The fluorescent UV light attracts mosquitoes and other flying insects to keep your DynaTrap operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Remember, even though the bulb’s light may still be visible, its ability to attract insects diminishes over time so it's important to replace them to keep the lure working at full power.

3 way protection

3-Way Protection

DynaTrap technology utilizes 3-way protection to defend your property against insect pests. First, the ultra-bright UV bulb generates a warm light, which is highly attractive to many pest insects! Then a second lure, an exclusive Ti02 titanium dioxide-coated surface, produces a CO2 trail that mimics human breath and is irresistible to mosquitoes. Once attracted to the unit, the powerful, whisper-quiet fan draws the insects and mosquitoes into the retaining cage where they dehydrate and die, typically within 24 hours.

Installing the bulbs

Installing Replacement Bulbs for DT1750 & DT1775

This bulb works with units DT1750 & DT1775. Replace bulbs every 4 months (approximately) 3,000 hours. To replace, turn the unit off and unplug the device. Turn unit upside down and twist the black threaded fastener piece securing the light housing counterclockwise to loosen. Move the light housing to the side. Twist the black threaded fastener pieces and carefully remove the silver clips. Cover the bulb with a cloth or use gloves to grasp the bulb and pull it from the socket. Insert the new bulb, put metal clips back in place, and secure the black threaded fasteners. Then twist the light housing clockwise into place and secure the black threaded fastener.

Troubleshooting: Check bulb socket for any debris and remove if necessary. Align base of bulb with socket and press firmly until it is fully seated to ensure electrical contact. The bulb is fully seated when it can no longer move in the socket. Ensure metal bulb holder is replaced and securely fastened, so the bulb cannot move.
