The planter's double-wall construction holds enough water to keep plants hydrated for 2-6 weeks.
The inside structure allows roots to soak up water from below, only when they need it. This structure was co-designed by professional growers, who use this watering method in the greenhouse.
The reservoir also keeps fertilizers from washing away, allowing them to be used to full potential.
The gauge on top indicates the level of hydration.
When you fill the reservoir with water, the floats rise to the top of the gauge. As the planter loses moisture, the floats sink one at a time, indicating when you need a refill.
When filled with soil, the inner tiers of the container make it easy for plants' roots to wick up the water they need from the reservoir below.
Use the fill hole on top to add gallons of water. The gauge on the left shows when it's full and will adjust as the container loses water.
The sturdy planters can be drained whenever needed, which helps when you want to move the container or winterize it.
The planter was designed to let excess rain water drain when placed outside. But with its simple plug, it can also safely be used inside without leaking.
