These natural sheepskins come from American sheep raised on our mountain pastures.
Suitable for therapeutic and long-term use, they're made with medical tanning, so they're washable and durable.
The natural fleece is hygienic and gentle on sensitive skin, ideal for pressure distribution.
The evenly shorn fibers support your contours and pressure points which promotes good circulation, airflow, and comfort.
The Large 3.5 foot Sheepskins cover an area of close to 2.5 feet across in the middle and 3.5+ feet long.
No two sheep are exactly alike. Each sheepskin is hand cut along the shape of the hide. So each sheepskin's shape is somewhat unique. Expect some variation.
From ranching to tanning, this product is entirely made in the USA. We use domestic supply chains and adhere to US regulatory standards in materials and processing. Sheepskin products for warmth and comfort have a deep American tradition we're proudly part of.
A sheepskin is not a cure for pain. This product is not a treatment for arthritis, back pain, hip pain, nerve pain, pressure sores, or any medical condition. If your pain comes from an underlying condition, injury, wound, or mobility problem, a sheepskin gives you comfort support. It's not a pain relief product or medical treatment.
A natural medical sheepskin is a comfort layer between your body and a bed, recliner, lift chair, wheelchair, etc. It makes hard or irritating surfaces feel more gentle against the skin. For bariatric use, a sheepskin softens body-contact areas between the skin and firm padding. The sheepskin is a breathable surface cushion for bony pressure points and sensitive areas.
Compared to sheepskins commonly made from Australian type sheep, these American sheepskins are larger and wider. The shape of the hide is wide from top to bottom. They are noticeably different around the nose which is much wider for your upper body comfort.

The leather side is soft and supple which conforms to a chair, couch, bed, car seat, or anywhere.
The evenly trimmed fleece cushions pressure points, allows air flow, and wicks away moisture. The resilient fibers push up and support your pressure points.
Shake and fluff from time to time to revive the cushiness.
The dense fibers are springy and promote good circulation and temperature control.
The sheepskin is great as a chair cushion, bed padding, or a cover for a car or airplane seat.
Use only detergent formulated for sheepskin leather – non-alkaline, no enzymes, phosphates, or bleach.

Keep your sheepskins looking and feeling good for years with quality care and cleaning products.
Most often, sheepskins fluff up with a shake and a brushing. You should shake and fluff your sheepskins often. Our Sheepskin Brush does a great job. Its the right size and shape, built sturdy.
For washable sheepskins, the Sheepskin Shampoo and Woolwash is specially formulated for both the leather hide and the wool. It can be used for spot cleaning or hand or machine wash.
These products work well, not only with our Medical Sheepskins, but with sheepskins of all types. Note, however, that all sheepskins are not washable. Always check first.
