Sluice box matting has been designed to be used in a sluice box, high banker system or other custom set up. The riffle trap gold sluice box matting is pre-scored, so it can easily be cut down to only 8 inches wide using the guide line on the back of the matting. Overall, the dimensions of the matting is 27 (L) x 10 (W inches, with riffle traps running the entire length of the sluice box matting. Once classified material has run through your system, the rubber riffled matting can easily be extracted, rolled up and washed out in a 5 gallon bucket or wherever you're collecting paydirt. With your paydirt now rinsed from the matting, it's ready to be extracted using gold pans. ALWAYS sift or screen raw material before running it through a sluice box, using our 5 gallon compatible, heavy duty classifier screens; this ensures that the raw material running through your sluice box isn't filled with unwanted organic material, that will quickly junk up the matting and lessen the chances of gold being trapped.
