How to Apply

Apply every two weeks when water temperatures are above 50°F. Apply a half gallon per quarter acre pond or lake. In just a few weeks after your first application, you will begin to see a noticeable difference in water clarity.

When to Apply

Shake well before use. Apply directly out of the container. PondClear works best when poured in several spots along the shoreline.

Restrictions

• PondClear may be applied to lakes and ponds used for irrigation and aquaculture. Water treated with PondClear may be used for recreation, fishing, and other activities immediately after treatment.
• Safe for recreational ponds, horses, livestock, birds, pets, fish, wildlife, and the environment. Not tested on water intended for human consumption.
• Although PondClear is safe for recreational swimming ponds, it is not recommended for use in residential swimming pools. Any chlorine in the pool will kill the beneficial bacteria found in PondClear.

Can I just do one application of PondClear?

Just like vitamins, consistent use over time will provide the most benefit. Natural decomposition, seasonal changes, and storm runoff will continue to affect your pond. Regular beneficial bacteria treatments using PondClear should continue, as well. In addition, PondClear natural bacteria and enzymes are developed for optimal results utilizing the listed dosage rate, and using the whole gallon at one time will not achieve the results you’re looking for.

How can I tell if PondClear is working?

Measuring progress in a large body of water can take a lot of work. While most customers see results in 2-4 weeks, it’s essential to remember that murky water teeming with suspended organics did not happen overnight, and beneficial bacteria treatments will take time. We recommend doing a jar test to see progress truly. It’s simple to do. Take a clear glass jar, dunk it into your pond, fill it with water, cap it, and keep it in the dark. Repeat with a new jar every two weeks throughout the treatment period. Compare results. Suppose you see a lot of sediment on the bottom of your jars. In that case, your pond may have a clay bottom with turbid, murky water caused by sediment, not organic debris.
