In 1986, Mr. Rahim Afshar and his brothers founded Ahmad Tea and named the company after their father. Originally an importation company, they operated out of a small office above the family’s ‘Kabir Tea Shop’ on Southampton’s London Road.
By 2003, Ahmad Tea had the majority share of the tea gift market in the UK and became available around the world in 68 countries.
2010 saw the opening of Ahmad Tea’s new offices in Chandler’s Ford, Hampshire, featuring a tea tasting room and carefully curated tea museum.
Today, under the vision and guidance of Chairman Mr. Rahim Afshar and his brothers Karim and Ebraham, Ahmad Tea continues to grow. With a focus on innovation and the highest standards in quality, Ahmad Tea products are now sold internationally in over 80 countries.

Always use freshly drawn water. Water which has previously been boiled will have become de-oxygenated and will not produce a good liquid. If possible, the water should be filtered to remove the chlorine and other additives that affect the taste. Heat water to the temperature recommended for your tea using an electric hot water heater or a stovetop kettle.
Choose your favorite blend from our large selection of teas. Black teas are the most frequently used as part of the afternoon tea custom. However, if you’re looking for a lighter tea, select from one of our many delicious green teas or herbal infusions. Use 1 teaspoon of tea per person, plus one for the pot.
Once the water reaches the appropriate temperature, it should be poured immediately onto the tea leaves to allow the best brew. Check the pack or the table below for brewing times as this varies between blends. When brewing, cover the teapot with a tea cosy to keep the heat in. When your tea is done steeping, immediately remove the tea bag and lightly stir.
